Description: This paper provides guidance to trainers who aspire to provide professional support and engage trainees to include more physical exercise in their everyday lives and amplify their fitness and health levels. The paper provides important guidelines on how to organize and run programmes for promoting physical activity in groups, considering the different backgrounds, physical status and abilities of each participant. In addition, it offers a set of handouts for participants for monitoring their progress and improvement of life quality. Also, the group activities are designed in order to enable social interactions through physical activity among the participants. Trainers will find useful information on how to foster effective communication, engagement and motivation to the participants.
