Description: The document presents an overview of challenges, obstacles when engaging and working with refugees in any sport area. Sport is one of the most essential elements for many cultures and can be used as a tool for the successful integration of migrants and refugees and also to support healthy and active life of societies. The paper includes recommendations on how to work with refugees and migrants and includes many useful tips for trainers and sport instructors. The paper was issued within the project “Sport for Refugees”. The link provided includes examples for sport activities and health inclusion suggestions especially for migrant women.

- Raise awareness among professionals on different cultural and religious characteristics, including dietary habits, social norms and physical contact when conducting sport programmes for refugees or migrants
